Why this was built
One homeowner needed quote clarity. Many others did too.
qote was built because Capt Venkat, while planning rooftop solar for his home in Hyderabad, realised that comparing vendor quotes was harder than it should be.
Different vendors used different formats, different words, and different levels of detail.
The big confusion was not whether solar was useful. It was what each quote actually included.
He asked people on X and WhatsApp. The replies made it clear that many homeowners face the same problem.
So this tool started as a simple way to check one quote, ask better questions, and help the next homeowner compare with less anxiety.
